Potočnica is an oasis of greenery, peace and quiet and is ideal for a family vacation. It is located in the middle of beautiful landscapes, halfway between the northernmost town of island Pag, Lun, and Novalja, from which it is about 10 km away.
The beaches are beautiful, and the sandy beach of Kukurina stands out for its beauty. The sea is crystal clear, and the sunsets are breathtaking. Between the two sandy coves of Potočnica and Kukurina there are well-kept stone beaches with a beautiful turquoise color of the sea.
Here you will find an ideal shelter from the urban bustle, and if you start to miss it, don’t forget that you are about 15 minutes away from the famous Zrće beach with all its charms.
Also, less than a 10-minute drive from Potočnica is the town of Lun, known for its olive groves. The specialty of these gardens is the fact that here is the largest number of thousand-year-old wild olive trees located in one place. The gardens of Lun olive trees have about 80.000 trees, and the oldest olive trees are older than 2000 and 1600 years, which ranks them among the five oldest olive trees in the world, together with olive trees from Montenegro, Greece and Israel.
Nearby is place Metajna, known for its beautiful Ručica beach and one of the most beautiful trekking trails in Croatia, “Life on Mars”. There are 4 marked trekking trails with a total length of 16 km. Ručica, Beritnica, Slana and Seline beaches leave no one indifferent with their cosmic beauty. Places Stara Novalja and Gajac are also nearby and are known for their natural and beautiful beaches.
The islands of Rab, Losinj and Silba, the town of Zadar, and the National Parks of Kornati, Krka, Paklenica and North Velebit are all close by – that’s four of the eight national parks in Croatia at our guests’ fingertips. You can take a taxi boat to one of the nearby islands or you can opt for an organised field trip with one of the agencies, which also offer trips to mainland destinations. You can visit the mainland on your own in your car, or you can use the regular bus services. Beautful rivers of Zrmanja and Krupa are not so far away.
